OGNUNO RESTI  A…

Giovani, universitari, benestanti e… radicalizzati.

EVERYONE STAYS AT … HIS HOME!

The clash between fronts of opinions on Islam is wide and frequent, there are those who consider it a religion of peace there are those who instead are for the idea that it must stay away from Western canons as incompatible and anti-constitutional … and I am on this line of thinking. In fact Islamic terrorism made its official appearance in the West way back in 1972, then a terrorist expedition inside the Olympic village of Munich, Germany, had the aim and purpose of physically eliminating all the team of Israeli athletes who were there. for the olympic games. The terrorist operation was successful and hit hard. However at that time, despite the 12 dead, 11 Israelis and a German policeman, there was a profound division between Western observers and politicians, those who sided with the Palestinians, authors of the massacre, who instead condemned the uselessness of so many deaths whose the only real goal was to amaze the world and attract its attention. At the time it was thought that the Islamic religion had nothing to do with terrorism, also because for us Westerners it was a still unknown topic … A belief that lasted until the early 2010s, then the escalation of terrorism was a continuous crescendo without ever stopping hitting us in the heart of our cities … and when we were brutally attacked by Islamic terrorists, once again a part of the West continued in the defensive work at all costs … claiming that Islam does not it had nothing to do with it and that these were poor people manipulated, conditioned and rooted in extremism. Then we witnessed the murders of Pakistani women, both in Italy and in Pakistan, for violating the Koranic dictates and the wishes of their parents and also for the occasion most of the press and the “usual good thinkers” hastened to tell us that the girls’ parents were people of little culture and linked to ancient traditions and … obviously … the Islamic religion has nothing to do with it. A defensive wall built around Islamic beliefs to try to convince us that some phenomena are only referred to people who mentally belong to the past but above all ignorant. On the other hand, those who have always maintained that Islam is incompatible with the Western lifestyle, and brutal with those who are unfaithful, today finds its redemption and litmus test in the modus operandi of the “well-off, educated Pakistani university students”. Yes … everything can be said about them, but certainly we cannot say that they are poor people or that they are ignorant or that they have a mentality linked to ancient traditions, but we can affirm that they are only good Islamic faithful who observe and apply the rigid Quranic lines and … period. The study reported, in the link posted, to the new Islamic generations is the practical proof that Islam does not have and does not make any difference in the interpretation of the Koran between a cultured believer or not, exactly as in Christianity, but it is a way of life. which has been going on since 610 AD and preserved until today, totally different from the Western and Christian one, whose rules are written in the Koran and therefore blasphemers, transgressors and infidels must be punished even with death when this is required. Now seeing that the good young people of Pakistani Islamic society behave and think like the … farmer or fisherman from villages far from urban centers leads us to a single conclusion which is always the same and that is, there are no ten Islams, there are none. there is only one and what is written and indicated in suras and verses are laws that must be obeyed and fully respected what is written. To close, yet another diatribe between good and peaceful Islam and violent Islam … just read some verses that certainly have nothing to do with phrases of peace and love (Sura 4: 101-9: 95- 4:90 – 9: 123), I mention only a few, to realize this. And here is that the investigation launched on the young university students of the great Islamic country gives us a totally faithful narration of what was reported by Oriana Fallaci before and by me after. Logically it is right that they live and prosper in their countries in peace and in love … ie leave in peace us “infidels to live in sin in our countries.” 27012022 … by … https: // manliominicucci. myblog.it/

Pakistan, when violent extremism becomes pop

(edited by Mikhail Silvestro Sustersic, AP Partner)

Young people, university students, wealthy and… radicalized. In recent times, this is the profile of the perpetrators of the most serious acts of violent extremism in Pakistan. They attend the best universities in the country, come from the upper or upper middle class, are tech-savvy and connected 24/7 on social networks. Yet they are close to Islamic fundamentalism. Pakistan, with more than 17,000 deaths between 2001 and 2019, has been around for some time at the top of the list of countries most affected by terrorism. Although Pakistan has experienced a slow but steady decline in terrorist activity since its peak in 2013, violent extremism remains the number one domestic threat. The phenomenon is extremely multifaceted and the Pakistani government has pledged to tackle the problem by focusing primarily on immediate security, without paying sufficient attention to its deeper causes.

And, in the meantime, religious extremism has gained more and more popularity among educated young people. In a country whose average age is less than 23 and 64% of the population is under 30, radicalization on college campuses is fast becoming the main counter-terrorist challenge.

Unemployment, poverty and social exclusion are often cited as driving forces for radicalism. This could suggest that young people from more backward rural areas, belonging to poor families and without higher education are more vulnerable to radicalization. Yet, in her study of her “Red Hot Chilli Peppers Islam,” political scientist Ayesha Siddiqa illustrates that this is not necessarily the case. She analyzed the socio-political attitudes of young people attending private and elite universities in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, to see if better education and access to resources reduce vulnerability to radicalization.

What Siddiqa concluded is that it is not certain that wealthy young university students have a more liberal attitude and are therefore less inclined to take conservative if not, at times, radical positions. Urban youth, in fact, often follows that petty – “pop” – policy spread by the mass media and even more so by social media which suggests a vision of the world limited to the dichotomy “us” against “them”. These forms of extremism are not strictly linked to totalizing devotion to a cause, religious or political, but are rather consequences of a culture, popular among young people, which glorifies violence, martyrdom and toxic masculinity.

According to this political interpretation, the world order is based on a confrontation between Islam and its enemies: millions of young Pakistanis are targeted by narratives based on hatred of the “Other” and by conspiracy theories according to which the The West, the United States of America and India conspire to destroy the Ummah, the Islamic community, and to destabilize the whole of Pakistan.

Tackling youth radicalization in Pakistan therefore requires a holistic approach that supports political, social and educational alternatives capable of countering these radical narratives. In this sense, the increase in youth and student activism in recent years is encouraging and represents an opportunity for civil society to engage together with young people in hindering violent extremism. A concrete example is the Extremely Together Pakistan initiative of the Kofi Annan Foundation which offers young leaders and activists the opportunity to actively participate in preventing and combating violent extremism.

A high number of young people close to extreme positions are definitely risky in the fragile Pakistani socio-political landscape with various terrorist organizations looking for recruits, especially online. Initiatives such as Extremely Together Pakistan, which promote youth leadership and create a network of young activists committed to creating a more peaceful and inclusive society, are undoubtedly an effective and sustainable response to the challenges posed by these new forms of radicalization.

Jeux.

Pakistan, quand l’extrémisme violent devient pop

28012022 giovani pakistani
